NANCY WEEKS
OWNER

Nancy purchased the family business, M.C. Weeks, Inc., in 1981. She recognized the exciting challenges and possibilities still unleased in the window fashions industry at the time. Window treatments were a necessity for controlling light and privacy but she knew they would very soon become one of the most creative and artistic statements of design and performance enhancing our everyday lives. After studying art and design and receiving a Bachelor of Science in Art at Kutztown University in 1965 Nancy opened a sculpture studio and began the production of one-of-a-kind high fired ceramic wall sculptures and murals. In 1970 Nancy created a student mentorship program in collaboration with Seton Hill College, Greensburg, PA for art students with high ambition of achieving a successful career in the arts. In 1976 Nancy was invited to the University of Indiana, Indiana, PA as an Adjunct Professor to teach an advanced course in ceramic sculpture never offered there before. Nancy’s sculptures hang in over 200 corporate and private collections and are represented in many museum collections throughout the USA. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in galleries and museums, has participated in hundreds of invitational exhibitions throughout the USA and is recognized in many art publications. Nancy closed her studio after 32 years in 1997 to devote her full time at M.C. Weeks, Inc. on sales and the creative fine art of window dressing and design.

BORIS DUDCHENKO
SALES MANAGER

Boris received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison after graduating from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science in Art. For nine years he was a professor at Carnegie Mellon University teaching Ceramics and Glass Blowing. In 1969 Boris established and built a studio facility for glass blowing as a new academic course at Carnegie Mellon University. He was an active lecturer and exhibitor of his sculptures throughout the USA and England. His work is included in numerous museums, corporate and private collections and he is recognized in many publications. From 1967 to 1981 Boris and his wife Nancy Weeks built and operated a full time production ceramic sculpture studio. Their work was exhibited and sold throughout the USA. When they learned that the family window treatment business was going to be sold in Collegeville they moved back to the area to purchase and manage the M.C. Weeks, Inc. business. Nancy relocated her sculpture studio in the old M.C. Weeks, Inc. factory and produced sculptures for an additional 16 years.
